Joe Bob Briggs is the ultimate person to guide you through the land of cinema from the Grade A art house films all the way to the schlock infested Grade Z video waters. He does not discriminate when it comes to cinema but seems to revel in the perfect B movie, one that includes decent amounts of Blood, Breasts and Beasts. His home is the drive-in, where all manor of films where shown and where some of the best worst films in cinema got their only showings outside of the early seedy Times Square of yesteryear. He has hosted 3 TV shows, been in multiple movies and honored with numerous awards throughout the years and you may wonder why this is. While watching a movie with Mr. Briggs, especially when it’s a full length commentary, you get insight, trivia and knowledge that would take you years of watching and studying films to achieve. And yet there it is, the best insight into a given film that rivals most director commentaries and is always entertaining, sometimes more so than the movie at hand; especially those who do not cater to the B movie scene. It is a testament to Mr. Briggs’ knowledge and wit that he can enrich any movie going experience and also our knowledge of cinema.
